The Fermanagh Recreational Trust, administered by the Fermanagh Trust is open for applications. The trust supports the organisation, development and funding of recreational activities and facilities in Co. Fermanagh with particular emphasis on young people and youth development.
Community, voluntary or sporting organisations or individuals based in Fermanagh can apply. A few previous recipients include classical singer Andrew Irwin, rower Holly Nixon, footballer Matthew Smyth and swimmer Alannah Leonard who all received help towards training, equipment costs etc which will help their future career. One of the sport organisations which has previously received funding was the Hanging Rockers Climbing Club. Their grant went towards equipment and training of volunteers to bring together young people from both sides of the border to promote trust and cooperation in a challenging and exciting environment.
Other organisations supported include Erne West Wrestling Club which has been recognised by the Fermanagh Sports Advisory Committee as the best new developing club. In their first year they have developed both junior and senior participants who compete for Northern Ireland at International level. Fermanagh Milk Cup provides the opportunity for local boys, from all sides of the community, to represent their county at the prestigious Milk Cup, a tournament which attracts teams from the English Premiership and all over the world. These organisations have received support from the Fermanagh Recreational Trust towards training, pitch hire, transport costs etc.

- Provision of courses, training and coaching
- Contribution towards training or training costs
- Contribution towards the development of facilities
- Bursaries to assist individuals develop their potential
- Activities and events which will benefit young people
This is a great opportunity for individuals in helping to develop their careers. For local organisations this is a chance to utilise and enhance their provision including training new volunteers and encouraging increased levels of participation by young people.
