This week two very different organisations in Fermanagh have been recognised for their outstanding contribution to life in our community.
While Cleenish Community Association/Killesher Community Development Association and Ballinamallard United Football Club are very different organisations in terms of their focus, a number of very important common threads run through both organisations, namely the contribution they make to their community, community engagement and the work of volunteers.
This week Ballinamallard United Football Club were awarded the Queen’s Award for Voluntary Service and Cleenish Community Association in partnership with Killesher Community Development Association were shortlisted for ‘Best Community Engagement Archaeology Project’ in the 2016 British Archaeological Awards.
Fermanagh has much to be proud of especially the wonderful volunteers who make a wonderful contribution to life here.
Congratulations to Ballinamallard United Football Club & Cleenish Community Association and Killesher Community Development Association for shining a ‘wonderful light’ on the power of effective community engagement and volunteering.
