The club, based in Derrylin provides opportunities for members to participate in boxing in a positive, social and mentoring environment. The club has grown from strength to strength in recent years with a number of successes both locally and internationally.

Also at the visit to Fermanagh House was Kaci Crowley, member of Erne Boxing Club who has also been supported by the Fermanagh Trust with a Fermanagh Recreational Trust Bursary . Earlier this year Kaci won gold at the European Schoolgirls Championships, her first time competing in an international tournament.

Lauri McCusker, Director of the Fermanagh Trust said “Well done to Sean and all the team at Erne Boxing Club for putting together this tournament and hosting this group from the States. It’s an excellent opportunity for the young people to have this opportunity to foster these relationships and international links through sport.  The Fermanagh Trust has a proud history of supporting young people and sporting endeavour so for us to see an event like this in the county is wonderful. We wish the teams all the best for the tournament and the rest of their trip.”
