Investing in Community Volunteers Programme
The Investing in Community Volunteers programme offers a comprehensive range of free training courses designed to support and empower volunteers, committee members and staff working across the community and voluntary sector.
From strengthening your understanding of committee roles and responsibilities, enhancing fundraising skills and improving volunteer recruitment and retention, to effectively managing community venues, safeguarding, promoting inclusion and making the most of digital tools such as social media and AI, this programme provides valuable learning opportunities for everyone. Each course is delivered in seven locations across the district, with multiple dates and times available to suit your schedule.
The ‘Investing in Community Volunteers’ Programme is one of 13 programmes as detailed in the Fermanagh and Omagh PEACEPLUS Local Action Plan, a project supported by PEACEPLUS and managed by the Special EU Programmes Body (SEUPB).
This programme is delivered in partnership with Fermanagh Trust, Youth Action NI, Rural Community Network, Omagh Forum for Rural Associations, Omagh Volunteer Centre, and Volunteer Now. Together, these organisations are committed to providing high-quality training and development opportunities that enable volunteers to support their groups with confidence and effectiveness.
The training programme, which began in January, has been progressing successfully across the District Electoral Areas and is now entering its final phase.
