The Fermanagh Trust has supported the opening of a Cancer Support Service in Fermanagh which has been set up to provide information, guidance and practical support within a safe and confidential environment to individuals and their families who have been touched by Cancer.
Over recent months the Fermanagh Trust has supported the project providing a desk, IT equipment, etc to the new Charity in Fermanagh House. Cancer Connect then secured premises on Forthill Street, Enniskillen and the Trust was pleased to be in a position to offer grant aid towards the refurbishment of the building. This grant aid along with the support and input of many volunteers resulted in Cancer Connect achieving its vision and opened their Centre on Monday 23 rd November.
The Centre offers a range of services. These include complementary therapies from specially trained cancer therapists, a listening ear service, speakers / information talks, fitting and supply of amoena products, hairdressing service, beauty and skincare workshops and an information and signposting service. Sadly, many many lives are impacted by Cancer and we are pleased the Fermanagh Trust has been able to assist with the development of this much needed resource in County Fermanagh.
