The aim of YouthBank is to bring together a group of young people, aged 16 – 25 who will work together as a committee to distribute grants for youth-led projects that aim to make a positive contribution to their communities.
The committee will be responsible for inviting other young people in the community to apply for grants for projects that they may wish to run. These can range from music, outings, purchase of equipment to name but a few.
YouthBank is more than just a way of giving out grants. It is about supporting and training young people which in turn will benefit other young people and the wider community.
YouthBank members are offered a wide range of personal development and training to enable them to undertake their roles and grow as people and have ongoing access to assistance from designated support adults.
